Prepare yourself for the most addictive carving experience of your life, with the Amplid Pentaquark
Pilot the Pentaquark for a handful of runs and you’ll experience ear-to-ear grins and brain-melting speeds. But be careful, strong withdrawal symptoms and crushing dissatisfaction with your current snowboard set-up are inevitable. Its hi-tech construction, energy-loaded camber profile, the very stiff flex and long, blade-like effective edges turn the Pentaquark into a high-speed carving monster.
Riding Style
A high-speed carving board for experts. If you like to perfect your carving turns and are always looking for the fastest line on the mountain? Then this is the right board for you. Top performance for highest speeds on a pro-level.
Shape
A Tapered Directional board is the best for all-mountain, freeriding and carving. The nose is a bit wider than the tail, giving you plenty of control in any terrain. The stance is set back towards the tail, increasing the length of the nose. This helps you to float above the pow.
Profile
The traditional camber profile consists of only one positive preload from nose to tail. This profile offers high stability, good edge control and a lot of pop. However, camber boards are not very forgiving and may even catch an edge more easily.
Flex
The stiff flex provides stability at high speeds and insane amounts of control.
Construction
Amplid’s Antiphase damping technology, placed in front of the inserts, sucks-up bumps and tones-down vibrations in the nose. The Lite Core technology features uber-light wood varieties that are cut, treated and aligned in a way only Amplid knows. Its strength to weight ratio has scientist baffled. The race-grade Sintered 7HD base offers supreme acceleration and speeds. The HEXO2 technology replaces specific areas of weightier wood at the tips with featherlight recycled paper honey-comb, practically eliminating swing weight.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
