It’s a lean and mean directional twin freestyle board that shares the same shape as the time-tested Mountain Twin only it’s built with speed boosting, chatter sucking premium materials. Rocker tip and tail deliver serious float in the soft stuff while camber underfoot combined with Traction Tech give the Ultra Mountain Twin snap and hold on hard pack. No wonder this board scored the Good Wood Award 2018.

Shape
A Directional Twin Shape gives the Ultra Mountain Twin improved switch riding qualities, enabling flawless freestyle moves. In deep snow the Blunt Nose makes sure less snow comes over the sides of your nose than it would with a regular shape. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

Profile
A unique rocker/camber flex pattern defined by an evenly balanced tip and tail rocker and camber between the bindings. CamRock improves freestyle finesse by keeping your tips playful while maintaining the power and pop of camber underfoot.

Flex
With a stiff flex, the Ultra Mountain Twin is especially suited for big freestyle moves and powerful riders.

The Ultra Construction puts materials exactly where they are needed while eliminating all excess materials. Combining these innovative construction techniques with superlight wood cores and carbon fibre deliver revolutionary results. Jones Ultra boards are the lightest, yet most durable snowboards on earth.
The triple-density full wood Power Core features hardwood bamboo stringers for added pop and durability and paulownia for weight savings. Carbon Stringers add torsional stiffness for improved response and increased pop. Triax Fiberglass offers a precise and responsive ride in any terrain or snow conditions. The Sintered 9900 Base is made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and Carbon. This ultra-fast base is easy to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE.
A thin wood Ash Veneer functions as both: a protective topsheet and a global reinforcement layer. The thin wood stringers that make up the wood topsheet provide even flex and suck up chatter from uneven snow conditions.
All Jones boards are made with Oversized Recycled Steel Edges for added durability and improved production sustainability. The Rubber edge dampening and ABS Sidewall material is made of 100 % recycled material. Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax as well as factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain. By flip flopping the base graphic colour, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield.

This board comes in 'Wide' version. It is wider than normal boards and developed especially for snowboarders with large feet (EU size 44+) to avoid too much overhang of the boots. Wider boards also give you better float in powder.
