The Jones Frontier Split is the ultimate splitboard for playful riders looking for a splitboard with directional freeride shape without too stiff flex. The Frontier comes with plenty of float for powder days, combined with a freestyle tail that's perfect for attacking pillows and standing cliff drops. For icy crossings and harsh descents, the Directional Rocker profile and Inner/Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide secure stability and edge grip. A great all-round package for riders who don't want to be restricted even with a splitboard.

Riding style
The Frontier Split is your splitboard with medium flex and playful feel for freestyle, hard pack and pow runs.

Shape
The Frontier comes with a directional shape that makes high speeds super easy and offers you good floatation. The blunt nose carries less snow, over the sides of the nose to the back. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 2.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.

Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the legs and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability.

Flex
The medium flex offers a perfect balance of control and playfulness.

Construction
The FCS™ Classic Core is a premium solid poplar wood core. It offers you fun pop, a consistent flex and a solid construction. Biax fibreglass produces a forgiving, snappy ride. Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy. The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from castor seeds. This biomaterial is extremely light, resistant to scratches and breaks, and water and snow repellent. The material of the sintered 8000 Base is made of UHMW-PE and carbon. It is fast, easy to repair and absorbs wax excellently. All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved sustainable production. The material for edges and sidewalls is recycled, and since this season Jones has also been using Recycled Rounded ABS, which extends the life of the board. The Frontier Split comes with the new Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 and the new Karakoram Tip Clips for even easier handling.
