The high-performance all-mountain/freeride board from Barrett Christy
The Barrett is the pinnacle of all-mountain snowboard design. More than 25 years of experience form the basis for the Barrett Christy pro model from Gnu. With over 20 years as a pro snowboarder and several X-Games gold medals under his belt, you should know the name Barrett Christy is legendary. The directional shape in combination with a powerful C3 camber profile guarantees the best edge hold for carving and maximum pop. The large nose offers maximum in powder.
GNU supports the Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) Foundation with this product. This is a non-profit foundation dedicated to early detection and a healthy, active and sustainable lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention. Of every product sold, a share goes directly to B4BC.
Riding Style
All-Mountain/Freeride for advanced riders - This board is perfect for fast turns on the piste and in the backcountry. It offers plenty of float in deep powder and reliable performance and stability in challenging terrain.
Shape
With the directional shape the nose is slightly longer than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are slightly offset to the back. This increases the stability at higher speeds and the uplift in powder. The Magne-Traction® technology provides improved edge hold with serrated edges. Especially on icy slopes they unfold their full potential.
Profile
The C3 profile is a classic camber profile with a subtle rocker between the bindings. This provides precise edge control from nose to tail and maximum stability for high airs and landings. The mild rocker makes the board a bit more playful and offers more uplift than conventional camber profiles.
Flex
The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response.
Construction
The G3 Lite construction is environmentally friendly, robust and Gnu's lightest construction design. The G Lite 3 core is made of Aspen and Paulownia wood with carbon stringer. Bi- and triaxial fibreglass surrounds the woodcore and provides the necessary stiffness and durability. The topsheet is made from eco-sublimated organic beans. The sintered base is very fast, but requires careful maintenance.
