Good pants for many purposes

I have been working for Blue Tomato Helsinki for under a year. I ride all-mountain/park, and I'm 173cm/60kg. I like spending time outdoors and try to take sustainability matters into account with the gear I'm using. I chose Patagonia Snowshot pants because I wanted waterproof pants which I could use both while riding and also elsewhere outdoors as rain pants. It was also nice that these pants are partly made of recycled polyester :).
I bought a size M for men because I like a relaxed fit. The legs of the pants are slightly long, but not too much. The pants are not particularly "relaxed" or baggy, but I still like the fit and the high waist.
I have used the pants at a local ski center in rainy/snowy weather and they kept me dry the whole time. They are good for the outer layer so I had merino wool liner under and the combo was perfect in -2 to +2 weather. The fabric feels to be good material and is indeed a bit flexible, so bending knees at the park won't be a problem even with a smaller size or tight fit. The good thing with Durable Water Repellant instead of a shell is breathability, no need for extra ventilation! I bet these will work as hiking pants as well when in bad weather. They could have a 20k water pillar, but with that price, I'm happy with 15k too.
For everyone who wants to have classic looking, sustainably made simple pants for multiple purposes. These will keep you dry in small rain and snowy conditions and they have a nice fit, but you probably need merino/other liners under them.
