The First Chair 10 features the fluid, progressive flex in a hard-charging package primed and ready for the send. Featuring the stiffest Full Tilt Tongue, an auto-locking cinch powerstrap, wide-track buckles, and the enveloping Pro Liner, the First Chair 10 packs the power and punch you need for even the burliest of hillbanging adventures. For better backcountry capability, the First Chair 10 comes with a rubber outsole, which you can replace if necessary. Turn the Send-Knob to ten and let ‘er buck.

Outer boot
The minimalistic 3-piece design eliminates the need for thick heavy overlapping plastic or bolts for increased quickness and sensitivity, up to 2 lbs / 900g lighter than standard alpine boots. The FTS Shell takes the same 99mm last width and geometry used in the original 3-piece design and incorporates a roomier toe box, allowing room for your toes to play. With the addition of the replaceable rubber outsole, you’ll experience enough traction and durability to get through a slick parking lot or steep boot-pack. The ribbed tongue offers a smoother, more natural linear flex from your shin to your toe. The tongue bends like a flexible straw, never bottoming out while providing smooth rebound. No more shin bang. The boots flex is rated on a simple scale of 1-10 (10=stiffest). Change a boots flex by simply switching the tongue. (Competitors boots require permanent cutting).

Liner
The Pro Liner’s laminate is specifically engineered to provide the most energy transfer to shell while maintaining warmth in a lightweight and custom moldable fit. All adult boot liners are built using authentic Intuition® closed cell foam. It is body heat activated to mold 100% to your feet and shells during use or can be instantly heat molded by a shop in minutes for a light, warm and super comfortable fit.

Lacing system
Cables wrap around the boot like a shoelace for even pressure and increased comfort while eliminating dead spots. Tightening your buckles does NOT restrict flex, unlike overlap boot designs. The new adjustment mechanism of the Widetrack Buckles is engineered to increase precision and durability while maintaining on-the-fly single-handed micro adjustment.
