Riding Style

Shape
The Directional Shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow and control to rip any terrain or condition. A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed and enhanced deep snow floatation. Pro-Tip™ is a tapered tip and tail thickness, which reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

Profile
The Directional Flat Top features a flat profile between the feet, delivering stability, better balance and continuous edge control. The rockered nose delivers steady stability and effortless float which is demanded by deep days and surfy terrains.

Flex
The Directional Flex ensures increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.

Construction
Lightened up and loaded with pop, the FSC™ CERTIFIED SUPER FLY II™ 700G CORE features stronger and lighter woods that target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduced weight. Additionally, in the DUALZONE™ EGD™ design, the wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength. The Squeezebox profile also improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energising the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.
In the Recycled Sintered WFO Base, a specially formulated wax is infused deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material resulting in an ultra durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season, in any condition. All Burton Family Tree models feature Sintered WFO bases made with recycled industrial materials that would otherwise be incinerated.
The Dump Truck is charged with 45° Carbon Highlights, that optimise each layer of the fibreglass matrix and add a full tip-to-tail carbon layer. This reduces weight and fine tunes the torsional feel to achieve a more aggressive ride with the 45° fibre angle.
