Almost Skateboards a été fondé en 2003 pour deux des skateurs les plus influents et créatifs de la planète : Daewon Song et Rodney Mullen. Depuis, la marque californienne a poussé la construction classique des skateboard vers de nouveaux horizons, utilisant 7 ou 8 couches et de la fibre de carbone avec résine epoxy. Il en résulte les planches les plus légères et stables du marché.
Les planches avec une construction Resin-7 sont collées avec de la résine epoxy au lieu de la colle tradition à base d'eau. Cela permet un produit final plus léger ainsi qu'un pop plus performant et avec une plus longue durée de vie.
