Product description
Big turns in big terrain
The Lone Wolf is Jones' new big gun swallow tail designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson and Jeremy Jones. Blending features of a pow board with the heart of a Super-G race board, the Lone Wolf has a long sidecut and is built to arc big turns in big terrain. SPOON 3.0 base contours and a Directional Rocker profile gives the Lone Wolf serious powder prowess while the narrow waist width, long sidecut, and camber underfoot make it a moon rocket for the aggressive hard pack carver.
Riding Style
This board is built for those that are looking for a board that can handle super-fast freeride runs and precise turns under all conditions.
Shape
The Lone Wolf has a Directional Shape which increases float and stability at speed. Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the Swallow Tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech 1.0 improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. At the far ends of the Progressive Sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Profile
The Directional Rocker profile has an under-foot camber with a larger rocker area in the nose than in the tail. The float of the rockered nose improves manoeuvrability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. The slightly rockered tail maintains power and stability but helps to keep the tail catch-free when initiating turns and landing switch. The new Spoon 3.0 contour, a Freeride Focused 3D-Base Contour featuring an 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose, floatation is guaranteed.
Flex
A stiff flex (7/10) will ensure precise response and lively feel.
Construction
The heart of the Storm Chaser is a re-designed triple density Bamboo Surf Core that features primarily paulownia stringers with bamboo stringers positioned in the pocket of the sidecut for better edge response and turns power. New Carbon Innegra fibre forms an ultra tough hybrid composite layer that dampens the board torsionally and from tip to tail.A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched Biax Fibreglass provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. The Sintered 9900 Base is made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and Carbon. This ultra-fast base is easy to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE. The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from Castor beans. This biomaterial is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant, and water/snow repellent. All Jones boards are made with Oversized Recycled Steel Edges for added durability and improved production sustainability. The ABS Sidewall material is made of 100% recycled material. Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax, so you can go right from the shop to the mountain. By flip flopping the base graphic colour, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
