WHO’S YOUR HOMEBOY?
What do Public Enemy, Run-DMC, N.W.A. and Ice-T have in common apart from their music? They all contributed to the creation of one of the oldest streetwear brands in the world. Even if unconsciously.
Homeboy was founded in 1988 - the same year when hip-hop became big. The brand has its origin in skateboarding, but from the beginning, it always left room for music. The vibes of rap culture and different personalities of the artists found expression in their designs. So it happened that in 1991 "Die Fantastischen Vier" were equipped with the special "Homeboy Coolness".
The world of action sports too has a firm place in the heart of the brand. Without committing themselves, they pay equal attention to skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, surfing and Moto-X.
A STYLISH PIECE OF STREETWEAR HISTORY
As true streetwear pioneers, Homeboy has set some trends and made a considerable contribution to fashion history. In 1989 they launched the ever-popular "Coach Jacket", which was soon followed by big names such as Nike and Diesel. In 1991 the brand shocked with the very first pair of "Baggy Pants". Finally followed by the "Coach Shirt Reversed", a sweatshirt with press studs, which today once again dominates the clubs of the big cities.
You can already see that the people behind Homeboy know (and have always known) what makes good streetwear. And they pack this experience into all their styles. The result is a range of great shirts, trousers, sweatshirts and jackets. All equipped with the logo and a good portion of streetwear history. Get yourself excited about Homeboy. Where? On Blue Tomato, of course.
