The American Company Thunder has stood for state-of-the-art trucks for demanding skaters since the mid-80s. The hollow Kingpin makes each truck lighter than any standard truck. This is noticeable especially at Flip Tricks because you can save a lot of energy due to the reduced weight.
The Hi construction means less wheelbites, since the distance between the wheel and the deck is subtly greater than other comparatively low truck. This allows tricks to be stomped more forgiving, and larger wheel diameters also work without problems.
Thunder truck width recommendation
The width of the trucks should roughly match the deck. The truck size either specifies the width of the truck itself (axle width) or the width of its hanger.
