Perfect companion for backcountry adventures

I had the chance to ride in Japan where we didn't know the area from experience, only from maps and charts, so the BCA BC Links helped us navigate and find ourselves in case we lost sight of each other. It was also perfect if someone was scoping out a line or a feature, so we didn't need to scream at each other from the distance, but talk through these and understood each other pretty well. Proper walkie-talkie-etiquette is needed, but that is valid for all communication devices of this sort. Push the speak button and only then start speaking, otherwise the first word(s) are always cut off. Release only after finishing your sentence. Over. It's meant to go into your backpack with the microphone and speaker device going through a hydration bladder access hole and attach to your backpack strap so it's always handy and close to your mouth and ears.
I would recommend this product to everyone who regularly rides with the same people who also are willing to get this device. It's super handy but compatibility is limited to this system as far as we could find out. You need a backpack with some sort of hydration bladder access if you want to use it properly. Make sure you're all on the same channel before you ride out, also the button to change the channel can be triggered by branches or falls, so regularly check that it's still on the one you agreed on. If connection is failing, try to switch to another channel, sometimes that does the trick already.
