Big-mountain tool with a signature touch

With the NR Pro, Spark R&D brings a limited-release splitboard binding for 26/27 that pro rider Nick Russell designed himself. It blends the best of the Arc and Surge. The stiff, solid Surge ST Pro baseplate is the backbone for powerful turns in demanding big-mountain terrain. The lightweight Arc ST Pro Pillow Line straps keep you agile on long ascents. The new Multi-Hole Pro heel loop lets you rotate the highback parallel to your heelside edge. That sends your input more directly to the edge, so heelside turns come much quicker. Maximum rotation suits steeper binding angles, and mid rotation suits mellower ones. Pre-installed padding on the baseplate and highback keeps your feet warm, adds cushioning and helps the binding hug your boot. Hand-drawn Nick Russell graphics give it that extra bit of style.

Tesla T1: easy transitions, secure lock-in
The NR Pro runs on Spark's proven Tesla T1 system. For the climb, you slide the binding sideways into the offset touring brackets and lock it in place with the snap ramp. For the ride down, you slide it onto your pucks and snap the ramp down. To remove it, you flip the ramp up and slide the binding off. You switch the climbing wire with your pole via the integrated ST Whammy Bar levers: stowed, low or high and back again. ST Tech means a custom thermoplastic is overmoulded onto the metal parts. This makes them slippery, durable and abrasion-resistant, so touring feels noticeably smoother.
