About La Nuit de la Glisse 2025 – The Culture Night of Extreme Sports
La Nuit de la Glisse 2025 offers a unique cinema experience with two films connected by a shared theme: the search for the perfect moment.
In the first part, Chronicles of a Wild Decade pays tribute to the 2010s—using personal archival footage from Thierry Donard to shed new light on a decisive decade for action sports. From the steep slopes of Mont Blanc to the massive waves of Teahupo’o, from the fjords of Northern Europe to the rapids of Norway, this film showcases the uncompromising dedication of a generation of athletes who redefined the limits of their sports.
The second part, Free Birds, brings us to the present: young riders continue to push the boundaries of their disciplines—snowboarding in Norway’s polar night, XXL surfing in Nazaré, speedriding in the Alps, and wingfoiling on the rivers of Oregon. Every scene is a concentrated expression of freedom, aesthetics, and precision.
Two eras, two perspectives—but always the same passion.
