UNION Ultra 2024 Snowboard Bindings

Hi, I am Alexis and have worked at Blue Tomato for four years. I am a Snowboarder with over 20 years of experience, mainly riding All-Mountain. I am 175 tall around 70kg and boot size US 9 and I bought this product in size Medium which fitted me perfectly !

Tested these bindings in the Dutch indoor slopes .I was always a big fan of Union bindings generally all of the models work really well for my needs but that exact one is better than ever. The 3-piece S11 Asym Baseplate, S15 Ultra Duraflex Highback, Forma X Ankle Straps makes it perfect and easy to use the biggest benefit of those is the cushiony base proving a great dampening and shock absorb feeling. The brand new for the 2024 TS 5.0 toe straps makes a huge improvement to the prior version with the extra grippy rubber part that is fitting perfectly to any shape & material of boots ! A great afreestyle binding lightweight and solid for the higher demands of riders !

An overall great experience riding these beauties lightweight and supportive it's probably the best all mountain freestyle binding ever owned performs great without problems etc great feature is the Molecular Bushing System offers increased cushioning and rebound on hard landings along with the special non-stick coating prevents ice from forming on the footbed.

I recently chose the Union Ultra Snowboard Bindings to replace my old ones and add to my Union Strata, given my penchant for backcountry and park riding. As a rider who values durability and comfort, finding the right gear is crucial. I've been riding Union Bindings for a while now and know what I'm getting. I opted for size large for an older, bulkier boot I still have for backcountry.

I recently invested in the Union Ultra Snowboard Bindings in size Large, and they have proven to be a solid choice for my snowboarding adventures. The craftsmanship and build quality are impressive, ensuring durability on the mountain.

I am 180 cm, 70 kilograms, 42 on the foot size chart. I wanted something to go with the DOA. Despite their softer build, the binding responds very well to the movements of the foot, so the flex is definitely on the medium side. I have ridden the Union Strata for years, and the Force and Atlas as well, so I already know that Union bindings won't disappoint me. When I had the chance to try the brandnew Ultras, I immediately fell in love. Size Medium fits my US 9.5 boots perfectly, just like it always has.

The dampening on this new model is really unparalleled. The new tech they use for the baseplate really does its job well and reduces any shatter that a rough terrain or icy slope brings to you board. I've never felt more comfortable stepping into snowboard bindings before, yet the reaction and power transmission is perfect. The straps are very minimalistic and adapt well to the boots. The highback has a built-in cushion and allows for all kinds of tweaks, but when you need it to transfer the force onto your edge, it's immediately there without feeling aggressive. On the baseplate, they added some rubbery material which basically grips your boot from the bottom, meaning no more slipping around inside your bindings even when your straps are still open. Ridiculous!

I though the Strata was already a perfect freestyle binding, but the Ultra just took the top spot for me. It's super easy to ride in, the most comfortable I've ever witnessed and takes you from surfy powder turns all the way to rails if you'd like. If you like medium flexing bindings and want the best feeling ever, the Ultra should be on top of your list.

Ich bin Dennis und fahre nach einer längeren Pause, dieses Jahr mal wieder etwas intensiver Snowboard. Ich bin eher der klassische All-Mountain/ Freestylerider. Die wichtigsten Kriterien bei der Wahl der neuen Bindung waren ein mittlerer Flex und Sie sollte bequem zu fahren sein. Somit fiel die Wahl auf die Union Ultra. Mit einer Körpergröße von 189 cm und einer Schuhgröße von 44, entschied ich mich für die Variante in L, was hervorragend gepasst hat.

Ich hatte jetzt die Möglichkeit die Bindung in mehreren Skigebieten in Lienz und Mayrhofen zu testen. Die Bindung ist sehr gut gedämpft und federt viele kleinere Schläge ab. Des Weiteren bekommt das Snowboarden mit dieser Bindung ein "surfy feeling". Wer vorher eine direktere Bindung gefahren ist, wird sich hier etwas umstellen müssen. Doch dann hat man eine super Freestyle/ All-Mountain Bindung. Wichtig sei zu erwähnen, dass die Ultra eine fixe Highback hat und somit nur im 0 Forward Lean gefahren werden kann. Eine einstellbare Highback wäre manchmal wünschenswert, ist aber nicht unbedingt notwendig.

Die Ultra ist meiner Meinung nach eine klasse All-Mountain Bindung mit einem super softem und entspanntem Fahrgefühl auf dem gesamten Berg.

Hi, mein Name ist Kevin und ich fahre nun seit 15 Jahren Snowboard. Dabei lege ich immer sehr viel Wert auf die Prei/Leistung meiner Setups. Ich habe Schuhgröße 46 und der Vans Infuse passt hervorragend in die Bindungsgröße L ein.

Die Dämpfung dieses Modells ist wirklich unvergleichlich. Die neue Technologie, die sie für die Baseplate verwenden, macht ihren Job wirklich gut und reduziert jegliche Erschütterungen, die ein raues Gelände oder eine eisige Piste mit sich bringt. Ich habe mich noch nie so wohl gefühlt, in eine Snowboardbindung einzusteigen, und trotzdem ist die Reaktion und Kraftübertragung perfekt. Die Straps sind sehr minimalistisch und passen sich gut an die Boots an. Das Highback hat ein eingebautes Polster und erlaubt alle Arten von Tweaks, aber wenn man es braucht, um die Kraft auf die Kante zu übertragen, ist es sofort da, ohne sich aggressiv anzufühlen. Auf der Baseplate wurde ein gummiartiges Material angebracht, das den Schuh im Grunde von unten festhält, was bedeutet, dass man nicht mehr in der Bindung herumrutscht, auch wenn die Straps noch offen sind. Für mich die perfekte Bindung auf dem Haldor Pro.

Die Ultra hat für mich einfach den Top Spot unter den Bindungen eingenommen. Sie ist super einfach zu fahren, die bequemste Bindung, die ich je hatte, und bringt dich von surfigen Powder-Turns bis hin zu Rails, wenn du willst. Wenn du Bindungen mit mittlerem Flex magst und das beste Feeling aller Zeiten willst, solltest du die Ultra nehmen.
