Maximum damping, maximum ride comfort

The Strata has quickly become one of Union's most popular freestyle bindings and the reason for this is its excellent dampening system. Fused Vaporlite damping gives you a ride like you've never experienced before. The high vibration damping makes the binding ideal for creative freestyle riding, whether in the park, powder or on the slopes.

Highback
The Strata highback is a modern take on a classic, tried-and-true design. It is stiff on the outside and a little softer on the inside. This provides freedom for tweaks while the binding still responds just fine. The angle of the highback (forward lean) can be adjusted without tools.

Baseplate
The Stage 6 Duraflex ST base is Union's lightest and strongest base to date and is extremely responsive. The Fused Vaporlite Bushing System absorbs vibration and shock like nothing else. Fused Vaporlite is a material that is waterproof, more durable and more precise than any other EVA material on the market.

Straps
The Forma Lab ankle straps fit perfectly to the outside of your boots, are incredibly durable and light as a feather. The HexGrip toe straps' thermoplastic anti-slip material and multiple positioning options keep your boots bombproof and secure in the binding. The straps come with magnesium buckles. They are 4 times stronger and twice as light as aluminum buckles.

Väldigt bra

Hello, my name is Jussi and I chose this binding to go with my DC Ply 153 cm. I ride mostly park on my local small resort. I wanted an reliable binding for years to come. I specifically liked this Public x Union collaboration design. This binding is perfect fit for my 42,5 EU boots.

The Union Stratas are very popular for a reason. Phenomenal shock absorption, a nice tight fit and skate like flex for tweaking and helping to balance on a rail. The feeling is very close to the board, which is nice. This rode as expected and I like the look of a complete highback. The highbacks are not the easiest to move, as you need an screwdriver but thats a small task anyway. I like to ride with some highback.

The colour is not as white as I expected, rather vanilla white or off white. They come in a cooler back, so it is worth the investment compared to the regular Stratas. A public favourite for sure :). If you want some tilt for the footbed however, this binding is not for you. Also if you run really big foot size, I would recommend another model as you cant customize the footbed.

This is for the park rider who wants a rather firm binding, like not the softest but responsive one, or just an all mountain cruising rider. The looks are certainly on point, with the function. These are pay to win :)

After I used the Union “Force” for almost ten years, it was time for a change in my setup. My riding style is very playful and I take lot of inspiration from skateboarding so I wanted a more flexible and slightly softer binding this time.

First I thought that I will not notice any difference from just holding them in my hands, and comparing them with my old “Force” but on the board, I do feel that they are a bit softer and the dampening is significantly better. Since I got them, it feels like I am riding on clouds and the highback bends great when doing tweaked grabs on kickers.

It is defenetly a freestyle binding but beginners will also have fun with it because it is not too stiff. I like to support the "Public" team as they are so fresh on the snowboard market. Stay classic, there is no need to change for a StepOn Binding in my opinion.
