The Ortovox Trad Zip 26 is a very light climbing backpack that has been reduced to the essentials.
Thanks to the light and removable back reinforcement and the full contact carrying system, the backpack sits close to the body and offers optimum carrying comfort even when fully loaded.
The back system of the Ortovox Trad Zip 26 climbing backpack features a light, removable aluminium frame and a full-contact carrying system. The frame is very flexible, but stiff horizontally to carry as much weight as possible. Due to its 3D shape, the climbing backpack lies close to the back, guaranteeing plenty of freedom of movement and maximum wearing comfort. The main compartment can be accessed via the all-round zipper at the front or via the lid opening, which can be opened and closed with just one movement.
A highlight, however, is the integrated RECCO® Reflector System, which in emergency situations offers quick retrieval from the SAR1 helicopter rescue system and thus contributes significantly to safety on the mountain.
Ortovox came to life with the invention of the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. With their passion for keeping skiers and snowboarders safe, Ortovox has grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
