The Split Version of The Classic

Looking for a high-end, lightweight splitboard that will perform equally well on the uphill and when descending, I chose the Orca split in 153 for my 179kg rider weight, which turned out to be perfect!
I took this board on tours in terrain from easy and rather flat to steep and challenging with early season powder. Switching from walk to ride mode and vice versa is super easy and the clips work really well. On the ascend, the wider shape isn't a problem at all and being able to ride this a little shorter is a real benefit on the descend, especially in tricky terrain or through the trees.
This board handles every aspect of touring incredibly well! You get to take all the amazing qualities of the regular Orca with you, away from the crowds and into the the really good stuff. I recommend this board to riders looking for a versatile, lightweight splitboard that they can ride in a shorter size without compromizing on floatability and stability on the descend. Make sure to check that your skins will fit the special nose shape of the Orca split!
