The hollow design of the axle pin and kingpin make each truck 10% lighter than the standard Stage 11.

Independent truck width recommendation

The width of the trucks should roughly match the deck. The truck size either specifies the width of the truck itself (axle width) or the width of its hanger.

I went down with board size, so I had to get new trucks as well. After years of skating with mostly thunders, I wanted to try Indepedents. I skate a lot flat ground, slappys and ledges so I wanted to get light ,but strong trucks. For board size 8,25 I chose 144 Independents.

I have bee skating these trucks now some sessions at my local park and spend some time in the streets as well. They turn really fast, which is nice but for me it will take some time to get used to it after skating Thunders past years. Shape of the hanger is really nice for the grinds and the reach from the baseplate compare to you're axel is also very nice for nose and tailslides compared to the other trucks. Big plus is also, that these trucks don't make you're wheelbase longer.

So far I have been very happy with this trucks. They are super light and feel that they will last long time,. Highly recommended!

Fahre seit ca 2 Jahren die Hollows und find sie fürs Fahrgefühl richtig gut, leider ist mir jetzt schon zum zweiten mal eine gebrochen.
Da sie einen hohlen Achsstift haben ist das auch ihr Schwachpunkt. Mir ist einmal beim Nosegrind und einmal beim Kickflip eben dieser Achsstift gebrochen, obwohl sie sonnst noch in sehr gutem Zustand gewesen ist und damit kannst du die Achse dann wegschmeissen.
Daher muss ich jetzt leider auf andere Achsen umsteigen und kann sie nicht Empfehlen.
