Designed by Candide Thovex, the Faction Candide 0.5 Youth is stacked with the same materials and construction as Faction's adult skis, scaled down for the junior rider. A poplar core combined with a flat camber underfoot and rocker in the tip and tail means this ski is fun to ride and progress in all conditions. Whether that’s stomping your first 360 or taking you down a bumpy piste.
A ski for the ambitious park/freestyle youngster. This ski feels at home in the parks and pipes, but it won't let you down if you carve down the slopes.
This ski comes with a directional twin shape, the nose is a few millimetres wider than the tail with a central binding position. Thus, the ski offers the same riding characteristics forward and switch. However, due to the slightly wider nose, you get a bit more float in the soft snow.
This ski comes with a flat camber under the binding and an even rocker in nose and tail. The ski turns very easily, floats through powder and offers a very playful ride. Catching an edge is nearly impossible.
The medium-stiff flex provides you with a lively ski that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.
The poplar core allows the ski to pop, butter and stomp like a park ski and also have enough torsional stability to grip impressively on the downhill. The Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction and a durable cap construction. This protects fragile areas of the ski that can be prone to chipping.
Faction started out as a fun project for a group of shred happy ski bums in Verbier one winter. The group wanted to create skis that were affordable, could last 100+ days, survive without servicing and could be stowed away over summer and shine just as brightly once winter rolled around. Doing just that, they have seen great success over the last 12 years. They are united in their love for the mountains and the tools that allow them, us and you to escape there.
