The Punx 5 is a great ski for advanced park shredders and ideal for refining tricks and technique. The Atomic Park Rocker profile combined with a medium flex makes the ski extremely versatile for all the features the park has to offer, from rails to kicker lines. Its extra strong full-cap construction makes it almost indestructible.
This ski feels at home in the parks and pipes, but it won't let you down if you carve down the slopes.
This ski comes with a directional twin shape, the nose is a few millimetres wider than the tail with a central binding position. Thus, the ski offers the same riding characteristics forward and switch. However, due to the slightly wider nose, you get a bit more float in the soft snow.
Atomic's Park Rocker profile incorporates tip and tail rocker with regular camber underfoot. This profile gives the skis a significant amount of pop and control. The tip and tail kick up with an early rise for the catch-free feeling, ideal for jibs, rails, and boxes.
With a medium flex, you have all the freedom you need in the park, while still providing you with enough stability for big kickers.
At the Full Cap construction, the top sheet covers the entire core. This is a slightly cheaper ski construction method but offers low weight and high stability. Made from poplar wood, the Light Woodcore optimises the ski's weight without sacrificing shock absorption or stability. The Densolite foam core absorbs vibrations and makes the ski very agile.
Taking a giant leap into the unknown, Atomic have made themselves synonymous with freestyle skiing. With the help of freeski giants such as Jossi Wells, Atomic has taken the freeski scene by storm innovating not only their image but skiing itself. With some of the flyest freeskis on the market, Atomic have broken the mold that only had space for alpine racing.
