Which size skateboard for my kids?
Width is the most important factor when buying any skateboard, even for kids. A childs’ skateboard shouldn’t be over 7.75’ as they’re going to struggle to control a board much larger than their feet.
Cruisers – best for getting around
For kids that are constantly on the move, we recommend getting a cruiser. They are equipped with big, soft wheels - perfect for a smooth, fast ride. They are also suited for rougher pavements. Bear in mind: Cruisers are not designed for tricks in the skatepark.
The smallest cruisers are less than 6“ wide you can fasten them directly to your backpack. A slightly wider cruiser provides a little more stability, however, these shouldn’t be wider than 9“.

Which shoes for skateboarding?
Kids should also have the right shoes for skateboarding. Skate shoes have tougher soles and grip that keeps your kids on the board. They also last longer than regular shoes. For even more safety, the helmet and the junior protection set with elbow and knee pads shouldn’t be missing.
Which skate protection for children?
To keep them safe, choose a kid’s size helmet and the junior protection set with elbow and knee pads. A skateboard helmet should fit snugly all around, with no spaces between the padding and the head. We recommend helmets with adjustable sizing for the best fit.
