Power, speed, and control for fast turns, powder runs, and backcountry kickers

Inspired by Wolle Nyvelt’s surfy style and Josh Dirksen’s authoritative edge control, the Super 8 Snowboard is designed with Backseat Camber that puts the power and control under your back foot, whether you’re ripping pow or laying down turns on groomers. Featuring Rocket Science—a wider design for loose and wild maneuverability, this board has power, speed, control, and belongs in every quiver.

Riding Style
All-Mountain Freeride - You want to have fun on the whole mountain? This board offers the stability and performance for fast turns, powder runs, and backcountry kickers.

Shape
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow flotation. The greater amount of volume in front of you will allow for effortless turning in deep or soft snow and increase the float of your board tremendously. The Quadratic Sidecut is a blend of elliptic curves for easy turn initiation, effortless direction changes and fluid edge to edge transitions. Salomon's Rocket Science stands for more manoeuvrable/stable boards: Rocker on tip/tail for playfulness, shorter nose and tail and a 1cm wider waist width.

Profile
The Backseat Camber profile features a classic camber under the back foot for explosive turning capabilities and flat segments under the front foot for freedom of fun pow days. The best of both worlds, without any unwanted vibration.

Flex
The Flex is medium/firm, this gives the board a balanced feel. It’s hard enough to stay in control on hard charged mountain lines or bigger kickers, but it still has enough flex for advanced powder buttering.

Construction
The sintered base is an industry standard for quality base materials. Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention. Maximise the natural snap and powerful pop of wood with Popster’s shaped core profile. Feels like your skateboard kicktail finally connected with your snowboard. Basalt stringers are sewn into a Triax layer for durable pop, control and damp ride at speed, and easy manoeuvrability when you’re keeping it mellow. At the Aspen SLCT core, every single FSC certified wood strip is hand selected to ensure unparalleled core quality and lightness. Soft Royal Rubber Pads inserted into the high-pressure zones of the ABS Sidewalls dampen vibration and mellows the big impacts. All-Mountain Edge Bevel means detuning the tip and tail to a 1-degree edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut, back to a 2-degree bevel between the feet. This offers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.

Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
