Salomon Brigade+ Audio Kask

I'm riding the whole season with this helmet and I can't complain at all. I shave regularly my hair so the padding fit perfectly my head with or without a beanie. The adjustment wheel is the key. There is also awesome the integrated sound pads, just good enough.

My main reason to rate this helmet is cuz a few days ago I fell off doing a big air, landed over an iced part in the slope, immediately knocked out. After the shock and safe at home I checked the damages and found out that the helmet absorbed all or at least most of the impact in the back of my head, cracking in it out til the core it self. No concussion or brain damage, thanks to my helmet only neck muscular pain. So 5 stars is at least what I can rate this helmet from now on. To bad is sold out here. Will definitely replace that one for the next season.

Riding for almost 12 years I have tried many different settings and there is no either or when it comes to snowboarding - I love a nice hike in the backcountry as much as a day with my crew in the park. Switching back and fourth from all-mountain, backcountry and the park, I was looking for the right helmet that suits me in all surroundings and conditions. I want to feel safe in every situation, yet a good helmet should feel like you aren't wearing one at all. As my head is quite small, it was a bit of a struggle to find a helmet that works for me - however, the Salomon Brigade works in every way.

Naturally, riding in different settings requires different equipment and clothing. In the park I like to ride as comfortable as possible - so no disturbing frills. Although the helmet is packet with great features, such as the compatible audio system, its design makes you feel like it's not even there. Yet, the ABS shell with EPS liner always offers you the right protection. When I go freeriding, I like to cover as much skin as possible. Therefore, it is just perfect that the padded interior can be removed easily so I can wear a hood underneath. Respectively, another big plus is that the boa system stays in the helmet, no matter how much of the padding you want to remove. This assures a perfect fit in all conditions, especially when your head is a bit smaller like mine. The only bit of a struggle I had was fitting my goggles, which are quite big with square edges. However, with a little bit of adjustment of the interior padding they fit perfectly fine now.

If you're looking for a uncomplicated yet high-tech helmet I would absolutely recommend the Salomon Brigade. My advice is to take your time trying it on, try it with and without the padding, a beanie or a hood and most importantly your goggles - like that a good fit and a great shred is definitely assured.
