Highback
This ergonomic Canted Hi-Back design follows the natural contours of your left and right leg to maximize control and comfort. Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the Zero Forward Lean on select highbacks. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls. The higher the Forward Lean angle on your highbacks, the quicker your heel edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe, or back ’em off for jibbing. For mind-blowing micro-adjustability, the DialFLAD® system gives you twice the options of the traditional FLAD. The reinforced rubbery material of the Heel Hammock wraps response around the heel of any boot. Run your straps a little looser and still get lightning fast response out of turns with your heel cradled in complete suspension. Living Hinge® technology eliminates hardware and weight and allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and highback rotation independently.
Baseplate
The material underfoot is softer than the material alongside the lateral edges. This Dual-Component Baseplate creates a ride that is softer underfoot, yet stiffer edge to edge for a perfect balance of response and board feel. By removing the materials from beneath your feet and replacing it with cushioning, it is possible to drastically reduce weight and explore entirely new designs. The Burton-exclusive The Hinge technology utilizes a dual-component baseplate construction that flexes dynamically with your leg for increased foot roll, less fatigue, and easier ollies. The AutoCANT SensoryBED® Cushioning System with B3 Gel automatically settles your boot into a natural position regardless of stance width or angles for improved comfort, reduced fatigue, and more direct board control. Additional B3 Gel adds unstoppable impact protection.
Straps
Featuring the same minimal and seamlessly comfortable design as the Hammockstrap, the asymmetrical pad and spine shape of the Asym Hammockstrap® wraps the boot in response. Flip the straps for increased freedom, or run stock for power and support. The minimalist design of the Supergrip Capstrap® 2.0 merges two materials into one technologically advanced toe strap. A firmer material in the spine provides a supportive and lightweight skeleton, while a softer over-moulded material improves boot wrap and comfort. Be the first to drop in with the rapid ratcheting of Burton’s Double Take Buckles. Helical teeth and “Insta-Click” engagement combine for increased torque per crank, faster uptake, and fewer cranks to tightness. The result: vastly improved strength, speed, and ease-of-use.
