O'Neill Clime Veste

When searching for cool looking but not to expensive second layer functional wear, I came across the O'Neill Clime Fleece Jacket, which looked really nice and comfortable. For almost every winter sport, especially for skiing, I am wearing functional base layers. For a very long time I was a big fan of hoodies as the second layer and wore them in all conditions. But when I realised how much more you get from a fleece jacket, the decision to go for a Fleece Jacket instead of aHoodie was really easy. When I go skiing, I usually spend the whole day on the slopes, either riding fresh powder or groomers and it happens quite often that Istart the day when the outside tempureture is bellow freezing level, but after a few hours it rises for more than 10 degrees. In such conditions a normal hoodie will not provide the desired warmth or it will get you sweating once the temperatures rise.

The first time I tested the Clime Fleece Jacket was on a cold day and I first tought it is not providing the desired warmth. But once I warmed up a bit, I feelt like the jacket is perforimg fine. After a few hours of skiing, the temperature started to rise, but the base layer in combination with the jacket prevented me from sweating. The material is soft and feels really smooth. The zipper is of good qualitiy and I really like the high collar. I am 180 cm tall and the size fits perfect. It is not to tight and not to wide. I am already thinking about buying another one, as they come in 4 different colours.

I would recommend the product to anyone looking for a fleece jacket that does not cost a fortune, but still performs great.
