FREERIDE FILMFESTIVAL 2026
The Freeride Filmfestival is back in 2026 with the best ski and snowboard films of the year. Starting on 11 November 2026, the festival brings the freeride community together for inspiring stories, impressive mountain action and unique cinema experiences.
The FFF Prime Tour combines the best freeride films with live moderation, interviews with filmmakers and athletes, the Festival Village and Risk’n’Fun Safety Workshops. The Prime Tour takes place in Austria and Germany.
The FFF Cinema Edition brings the festival programme to selected independent cinemas across 15 countries, with recorded on-screen hosting.

FFF CINEMA EDITION
Can't make it to a Prime Tour stop? The FFF Cinema Edition brings the festival experience to independent cinemas across 15 countries.
In Austria and Germany, screenings take place in numerous cities throughout November, including Graz, Salzburg, Linz, Villach, Feldkirch, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Freiburg, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and many more.
The Cinema Edition features the FFF programme with recorded on-screen hosting, bringing the atmosphere of the festival to local cinemas.
THE FILMS – OFFICIAL SELECTION 2026
The 2026 Official Selection features five films exploring freeriding from very different perspectives, from surviving an avalanche and chasing the final days of winter to exploring the connection between snow, wind, culture and friendship.
75 SECONDS
75 Seconds takes viewers into one of the most intense moments imaginable in freeriding.
On a foggy March evening in Norway, freeskier Jakob Wester triggers an avalanche and is thrown over a cliff. For 75 seconds, he fights to survive inside the moving snow, while his wife Sofia waits below without knowing whether he will make it.
A powerful story about fear, chaos, hope and survival in the mountains.

FERRYLAND
Deep inside a Norwegian fjord lies Trandal, a tiny village with only 17 inhabitants and some of Norway's best freeride terrain.
As winter comes to an end, a group of friends returns to the village for one final attempt to save their season. Ferryland is a story about friendship, adventure and making the most of the mountains before the snow disappears.

INSIDE CIRCLES
Inside Circles follows filmmaker Dominic Knoppe and his friends on a journey through Iceland and Norway.
Snowboarding, ski touring, splitboarding and kitesurfing become different ways of connecting with the same element: wind. From snowy mountains to the ocean and Norwegian fjords, the film explores the freedom that comes from moving with nature rather than trying to control it.

Kodo combines Japanese culture with the wild landscapes of Canada.
Created by Japanese skiers and filmmakers based in Canada, the film connects powerful freeride imagery with traditional Taiko drumming and the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi.
The result is a unique and atmospheric film about skiing, music, culture and nature.

UNCLE TIMMY
Uncle Timmy follows snowboarder Timm Schröder as he looks back on a life shaped by snowboarding, friendship and the mountains.
While babysitting his best friend's children, he tells stories about his first lines, big trips, hard crashes, losses and the experiences that brought him back to his board.
Moving between reality and myth, the film asks what really remains from a life spent in the mountains.
