The skis replaced my JJ. I prefer to ski the deepest snow that I can find and try to spend about 30 days a year on the slopes. I prefer to use lifts, but also tour a lot in search of better snow. I am 187cm tall of average build and the 192cm size is perfect.

It is especially great in powder, as I found out during my 5-day ski trip with an average of 20 cm of fresh snow a day. The ski is great for a 2 ski quiver and due to the light construction can be used with a touring binding.

I chose this product because of the newer features with the 3D designed nose, which makes it less likely to catch and edge, unintentionally. As a rider I also admire Sammy Carlson as an athlete and what he accomplished down the road. Therefore it made it natural for me to choose his pro model to get a sense of this.

However it's still important for me that it rides well enough on groomers as well - and with the added stiffness, this ski do better than expected. Im 186 and went for the 192 due to the amount of rocker the ski will feel shorter than expected and therefore you shouldn't be imtimidated by the length, especially since it's for freeriding you want the surface for more upfloat. The weight of ski is what sets this one apart from competition. It's rare to find such a light ski in this category and it makes it super easy to throw around, whether it's tight trees or for a simple trick.

I would recommend this product first and foremost to people, who will be riding and seeking powder. It will be suitable for the freestyle oriented skier, but also for the touring people due to the lightness. Match it with a couple for Atomic Shift Bindings and you would be good to go.
