Lib Tech did some spring cleaning this year and uncovered this long-lost version of the MC Bus In Da Barrel art by Matt French. Matt Cummins was an early advocate of skate-inspired freestyle snowboarding and pushed snowboard designs towards catch-free twin shapes that empowered his “a new trick every day” credo. A C2 all-terrain hybrid profile, combined with a rugged environmentally friendly construction, makes this an instant classic. Rip it all season or get it signed by Matt Cummins and Matt French at the Baker Banked Slalom and hang it on your wall.
This board is for all-mountain junkies. If you want a smooth ride with lots of flexibility to get you to the next level, then the MC Bus is perfect for you.
The perfectly symmetrical True Twin shape offers a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Take advantage of the Magne-Traction edges to effortlessly link turns that look and feel nice whether they are at high speeds or slow and controlled. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
C2 means Rocker between your feet combined with radial cambers out to the contact points on tip and tail. Precise perfection in turning, jibbing and unreal float in pow combined with a tip to tail control, power, and pop of camber.
The medium flex makes this board suited for everything. Rip pow, press your way through jobs, spin your body in weird ways and carve up everything from slush to ice.
The original power construction OP is a very lightweight, environmentally nice and strong construction design of Lib Tech. The core consists of a strong Aspen spine with Columbian Gold on either side, giving you a strong and light core with a crisp pop. Bi-ax and Tri-Ax glass surrounds the wood core and adds the needed stiffness and durability. Birch Internal Sidewalls are placed along the sidewall of your board to add board control to the sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control. The TnT Base features a fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material. Wax it or maybe skip a day. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewall. Tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! Due to the edges, which do not go throughout at tip and tail, these areas are protected by a 'UHMW Tip/Tail impact deflection' system to avoid damage. Finally, the Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet features a tough and Eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
For some 30+ years, Lib Tech has been pushing the limits of innovation in the surf and snow sports industry. With their production still based in the US, they set out to do something different. With new shapes and technologies each year, Lib Tech want riders to have a grin on their face when using their products. A company that never stops changing is something we hugely admire, and doing so whilst keeping an eye on the environment will give you a big thumbs up from us any day of the week.
