The Old Skool Sneaker was never to be surpassed in class. It was the birthplace of the cult side-strip of the van, which today is a status symbol for the tradition and significance of skating. But apart from the impressive personality: The Old Skool is still there simply because it works well on the skateboard and holds forever. Although it is now in line with other vans styles, all of which have individual merits, the Old Skool will never lose its importance.

Ich wollte einen neuen Allrounder, der robust genug für‘s Skaten aber auch chic genug für den Alltag ist. Ich fahre gerne Street - mit den Longboard cruise ich entspannte Strecken auf dem Skateboard übe ich mich ab und an auch Mal an Tricks. Ich lege wert auf Optik, Material (hier robustes Leder) und Komfort. Alles bringt dieser Klassiker von Vans mit. Ich habe eine für mich übliche 41 gewählt - der Schuh passt perfekt, auch für meine eher schmalen Mittelfuß.

Ich habe den Schuh bei noch etwas kühlerem Wetter getestet, ideal also für grauere Tage und wenn man sie gut pflegt halten sie sogar einen Schauer gut stand. Der Sold Skool bietet seit jeher ein gutes Boardgefühl durch keine zu dicke Sohle. Durch die Waffel Unterseite hat man viel Grip. Ebenfalls das Obermaterial ist robust und verkraftet auch den ein oder anderen Abrieb - auf jeden Fall sind das die Vorteile.
Der einzige Nachteil ist, wie bei allen Schuhen aus Naturmaterialien, dass er anfangs recht hart und unbeugsam ist. Nach einer Weile eincruisen jedoch sitzt er perfekt.

Top Schuh für schlechterer bzw. kühlere Wetterbedingungen, sowohl auf der Straße als auch beim skaten. Toller Allrounder in absoluter Trend Farbe
