The synthetic leather wears off much faster and the boots start to get soft fairly quickly. Unfortunately Vans really downgraded this year's model.

Outer boot
The Flex Control System allows you to customize the stiffness of the tongue to your wishes. The removable, high-rebound Hytrel® tongue stiffeners enable riders to custom-tune their boot flex. Keep both in for maximum support, use just one for increased lateral or medial response, or take them both out for a softer-flexing boot. As your boots soften up over time, add the tongue stiffeners back in to extend the life of your boots. The V3 Ultimate Waffle represents Vans most progressive thinking in outsole technology. Loaded with features, it is found only on the top shelf product and offers the widest range of versatility. From stomping a big landing to side-hilling a hike (and even traction on your sled) you can count on the Ultimate Waffle.
Liner
The V3 UltraCush™ Liner represents pinnacle performance, support, and custom comfort. It features an asymmetrical adjustable and/or removable X-cage for precision heel hold, plus an arsenal of tech features engineered to over-deliver for even the most demanding riders. With the asymmetrical X-cage, your heel stays where it belongs—locked into the liner, keeping you in constant contact with your board. FlashDry fabric technology is engineered to act like a second skin, pushing moisture to the surface and eliminating it as fast as possible. These fabrics are engineered to repel and resist wetting out to help provide quick-drying performance that keeps the user dry and comfortable. Setting a new industry standard in moisture management and all-condition comfort, this technology has now been integrated into all of the newly redesigned Vans V3 UltraCush FlashDry liner. The Popcush Footbed features the tri-density Popcush construction and an OrthoLite® open-cell foam top layer. The TPU arch support heel clip provides stability while allowing torsional flex.
Lacing System
The Vans Hybrid Plus Boa Closure System merges traditional lacing with the power of Boa closure. The Hybrid Plus System expands the range of flex control from the original Hybrid Boa configuration by adding an extra Boa pass around the back of the boot and across the instep to optimize the lines of pull and maximize flex control capabilities.

stabiler Schule mit individueller Anpassungsmöglichkeit

Hey, ich bin Jonas und snowboarde seit ca. 10 Jahren. In einer Saison verbringen ich ungefähr 20-30 Tage auf dem Berg. Die meiste Zeit halte ich mich im Backcountry auf, sofern vorher genug Schnee gefallen ist. Sonst fahre ich jedoch auch gerne im Park oder nutze frisch präparierte Pisten für entspannte Abfahrten. Sehr wichtig sind mir somit Boots, auf die man sich in jedem Terrain verlassen kann. Größe: 188 cm, Gewicht: 82kg, Local Area: Schladming
Die Vans Infuse sind nun mein zweites paar Boots und deutlich angenehmer zu tragen als mein Vorgänger. Die Befürchtung vor anfänglichen Druckstellen am Fuß oder ein ewiges Einlaufen kam mir vergeblich, denn bereits am ersten Tag auf dem Berg saßen die Vans Infuse wie angegossen. Mit dem BOA-Verschluss ist es möglich den Schuh ohne großen Kraftaufwand zu fixieren. Das Schnürsystem ist aufgrund des Power-Straps gar nicht mal zwingend notwendig, verleiht dem Boot jedoch ein freshes Design. Der Power-Strap dient für den perfekten Halt am oberen Ende des Schuhs und lässt sich für steile Abfahrten oder tiefem Schnee kurzfristig nochmals korrigieren. Den X-Cage verwende ich hauptsächlich im Backcountry, sodass der Schuh für maximale Performance eng sitzt. Im Park fahre ich ohne den X-Cage, damit mein Fuß bei Jumps oder Rails über größeren Spielraum verfügt.
Mit dem vielseitigen Verschlusssystem lässt sich der Vans Infuse individuell einstellen und bietet somit für jede Bedingung die perfekte Stabilität. Breits nach wenigen Abfahrten war mir bereits bewusst, dass sich die Investition für die Vans Infuse gelohnt hatte. Für Rider, die in jedem Terrain unterwegs sind, kann ich den Schuh unbedingt weiterempfehlen.

very narrow fit, couldn’t finish the day(

Had it 2 years ago,
took it in my right size and thought it would break in like a boot usually does. However I am used to start season in tight boots to make them fit right in the long term
The font part of the foot was so narrow that i had to stop ridding before end of the day 3 times in a row.
Gave them to a friend who sized at least 1/2 size lower than the boot. He was happy
features were really exciting and ankle support was great, so I was pretty bummed of the dot issue
Wonder if they changed it on the newest version
Still feel attracted by the features and support the boot offers but I kind of lost confidence to give it a new try now. (
