Salomon HPS-Taka X Wolle 158
A playful and creative freeride pow board, inspired by bottomless snow and iconic riders - the Salomon HPS-Taka Nakai x Wolle Nyvelt
The Salomon HPS-Taka Nakai x Wolle Nyvelt was designed and built from start to finish by snowboard icons Wolfgang Nyvelt and Takaharu Nakai. This board combines a tapered directional shape with a Powder Camber profile and a medium-soft flex. The large rocker in the nose makes this masterpiece extremely nimble and smooth, to surf through the deepest snow at your favourite backcountry spot.
Riding Style
A fun all-mountain/powder board for every rider - carving turns on the slopes, surf turns in the powder or creative riding everywhere on the mountain. Good times never end with this board.
Shape
A Tapered Directional board is the best for all-mountain freeriding. The nose is a bit wider than the tail, giving you plenty of control in any terrain. The stance is set back towards the tail, increasing the length of the nose. This helps you to float above the pow.
Profile
The Powder Camber profile has an under-foot camber, a large rocker area in the nose and a smaller rocker in the tail. The enormous float of the rockered nose improves manoeuvrability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response.
Flex
The soft-medium flex allows for easy turning and ensures a comfortable ride through every terrain, whether it is park, powder or anything in between.
Construction
The Sintered EG Base is engineered for a super fast glide in everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow. Popster is a specially shaped core profile, to maximise the natural snap and pop of the board. The Ghost Green Core components have been selected and designed to optimise pop and reduce weight while utilising sustainable attributes of superlight paulownia wood. ABC Wrapper is a patented process using bamboo veneers to reduce fibreglass and resin content in each board by 40 %. Traditional ABS sidewalls get replaced by waterproof bamboo rods.
Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
