Performance-oriented pop and precision - the Rome Mod defines pro-level all-terrain snowboarding

From big, contest-sized jumps to high-speed riding all over the mountain, to top-to-bottom rail lines, the Mod is the weapon of choice for Stale Sandbech. This original camber powerhouse is built for going big, stomping deep landings and bringing technical mayhem to the full mountain. Super poppy with traditional camber and advance response-enhancing technology, the Mod is built to stomp.

Riding Style
This board is perfect for advanced riders looking for a responsive deck to shred expert level freestyle features. Cliffs in the backcountry, double-corks in the park, no problem with the Mod. This snowboard gives you the confidence and performance you need.

Shape
The perfectly symmetrical True Twin shape offers a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch.

Profile
The traditional camber profile consists of only one positive preload from nose to tail. This profile offers high stability, good edge control and a lot of pop.

Flex
The stiff flex provides you with a very responsive board that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.

Construction
The Airpop Core Matrix features the responsive “pop” of poplar laminates with five integrated zones of ultra-light wood to reduce weight. The Superlight Biax Carbon laminate is a lightweight matrix of 0 and 90-degree glass fibres with added carbon, to give the board more ollie pop and edge response. Carbon additives in the Sintercarbon base reduce friction with the snow, which makes you go even faster. It's the fastest base Rome uses in high-end boards. TurboRods bring a new approach to loading ollies and building pop. Rome starts by milling channels into the board’s core, then they insert carbon rods that rest freely inside sleeves with a single point of attachment. The rod is anchored only towards the centre area of the board, leaving the outside tip of the rod to flex freely inside the sleeve. This means the TurboRods engage the tip and tail of the board to load maximum spring, creating a more active flex pattern and effectively self-dampening after pop occurs. Kevlar Impact Plates under the four corners of your bindings absorb and disperse energy before it has a chance to damage the core.

Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

About Rome

Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
