Repair instead of throwing it away. In order to minimise the impact on our environment, Patagonia is committed to repairing garments. Skiers and snowboarders can get their broken jackets, trousers, shirts and other clothes repaired by Patagonia's skilled tailors or learn how to repair them by themselves. Broken zippers, tears, missing buttons and holes will be a think of the past. Even broken GORE-TEX clothing is no problem.
The Worn Wear Team repairs clothes of every brand. However, it is said again:"first come, first served". Only a limited number of repairs per stop is possible.
The longer our clothes survive, the less often we have to buy new ones. With the right care and repairs, we can make an important contribution to the protection of our planet. Less new clothing means less CO2 emissions, waste and effluents associated with its production. You have to wear your clothes only 9 months longer to reduce your CO2, water and waste footprint by 20 to 30 percent each. (WRAP)
Since 2013, Patagonia has been working to spread this message and motivate people to wear their clothes longer and repair them if they break. This is not just about Patagonia's products. The aim is to get the industry to change its thinking. This is why Patagonia gives a lifelong guarantee for its high quality and functional products.
