Frequently Asked Questions - Ski Set Assembly
To spare you the stress of assembling your new ski set, we can mount the bindings to the skis before shipping. Just let us know and provide the necessary information in the checkout process.
This is how it works:
- Put the desired pair of skis and a pair of compatible bindings into the shopping basket.
- In order to mount the binding, we need the exact sole length of your ski boots and your desired mounting position. How to determine these, you will find in the questions below.
- In the last step of the order process, click on "Mount ski bindings" and enter the mounting position, the sole length of your ski boots and your telephone number.
- Once you have confirmed the purchase, your order will be immediately processed and your parcel dispatched as soon as possible.
Unfortunately due to legal aspects and warranty limitations the montage service is not possible when paying with Klarna. If you would like to get your skis assembled, please use another payment method. Thank you for understanding.
We assemble your set for free when you buy skis and bindings in our online shop.
No, the assembly doesn’t change the delivery time for your order. Please note that the time required for delivering your ski set depends on the item with the longer delivery time.
1) Sole length of your ski boot
The sole length is measured in millimetres and usually printed or stamped to the bottom or side of your boot. Please note that the sole length is not your EU, US, UK or Mondopoint shoe size and varies between manufacturers. If you can’t find or read the indication on the boot, simply measure the length of the sole with a measuring tape. If you order boots, skis and bindings together, we can mount the ski set and and adjust it to fit your new boots.
2) Mounting point for the binding
You can choose between 2 mounting options:
Recommended mounting point:
Every manufacturer defines a mounting point for their skis that guarantees the best riding experience. Each ski was designed and tested for this mounting point. It will make a freeride ski strong in powder, a freestyle ski unbeatable in the park and an all-mountain ski comfortable to ride in all conditions. We strongly suggest choosing this mounting point for your bindings. The recommended mounting point is clearly marked with a line or arrow on every ski that we sell.
Custom mounting point:
If you know exactly where you want your bindings mounted, then let us know! Give the position in relation to the true centre of the ski. So 0 is mounted centrally with equal lengths of tip and tail. Any other mounting point will be back from this, so one centimetre back is -1, two centimetres back is -2 and so on. Remember, if in doubt go with the recommended mounting point, that's where the ski was designed to be skied.
Der Montagepunkt ist die Position, an der die Bindung am Ski montiert wird. Die Montagepunkte werden in Zentimetern angegeben und von der Skimitte aus gemessen. Zum Beispiel bedeutet -1, dass die Bindung einen Zentimeter von der Skimitte aus in Richtung Tail (unteres Ende) des Skis montiert ist.
Der richtige Montagepunkt für deine Skibindung hängt stark von deinem Fahrkönnen sowie von den Bedingungen und dem Gelände ab, in dem du fahren willst.

Die Sohlenlänge wird in Millimetern gemessen und ist in der Regel auf der Unterseite oder an der Seite deines Boots aufgedruckt oder eingeprägt. Bitte beachte, dass die Sohlenlänge nicht deine EU-, US-, UK- oder Mondopoint-Schuhgröße ist und von Hersteller zu Hersteller variiert. Wenn du die Angabe auf dem Boot nicht finden oder lesen kannst, miss einfach die Länge der Sohle mit einem Maßband.
Falls du Schuhe, Ski und Bindung zusammen bestellst, können wir das Skiset montieren und an deine neuen Schuhe anpassen.
Leider ist dein Ski-Set nicht sofort einsatzbereit.
Wir montieren deine Bindung, aber sie muss noch auf dein Gewicht und deine Größe eingestellt werden.
Bitte bringe dein Skiset zu einem unserer Blue Tomato Shops, damit wir den Bindungsdruck und den DIN-Wert einstellen können.
Wir raten dir ausdrücklich davon ab, diese Einstellungen selbst vorzunehmen, da du im Falle eines Unfalls die volle Haftung übernehmen musst und deine Versicherung Ansprüche ablehnen könnte.
