Jared Elston, Griffin Siebert, and Tommy Delago developed the Alternator to create a one-of-a-kind backcountry freestyle snowboard. Riding Style
This board is for riders who take freestyle into the backcountry. Whether powder kickers, pillow lines, butters, or cliffs, this board is all about creative tricks and deep snow.
Shape
The Directional Shape with an extended nose provides optimal float in powder, while the shorter tail ensures precise control. The pop is concentrated in the tail, allowing for powerful turns and stable landings.
Profile
The Trüe Camber Profile features a continuous positive camber from nose to tail, offering outstanding stability, exceptional edge hold, and maximum pop. However, this profile requires a precise riding style as it is less forgiving than other options.
Flex
A medium-stiff flex guarantees precise control and quick responsiveness – perfect for demanding freestyle lines in the backcountry.
Construction
The Powerlite Core, made from specially selected lightweight poplar wood, provides massive pop and exceptional stability at minimal weight. The Reflex Core Profile reduces board thickness between the bindings for improved torsional flex and effortless maneuverability. V-Shape Carbon Tape reinforces the board for added snap and a lively, yet powerful ride. The Sintered Speed Formula II Base, exclusive to Nitro's high-end boards, is infused with a Nanotech Wax Formula deep into its molecular structure – ensuring incredible speed and extreme durability.
