risk’n’fun FREERIDE

Are you already looking forward to the next dump? Do you prefer to ride off-piste with your crew? Do you love the feeling of weightless gliding in fresh powder? Ride the backcountry with knowledge and expertise.

LAST CALL: RISK’N’FUN LEVEL 1

The mega-dump has officially arrived! We’re currently knee-deep in freshies, but with all that new snow comes a reality check: Avalanche Warning Level 4. This brings up some heavy questions that go way beyond your next turn:

What does Level 4 actually mean for your run?

How does your game change when it drops to Level 3?

What the hell is this "old snow problem" (persistent weak layers) everyone is buzzing about?

And honestly: do your shred-buddies push you into sketchy lines, or do they actually have your back?

Are epic rides in deep powder still possible? A massive HELL YEAH! ...but with a very big BUT.

That "BUT" is exactly what we’re diving into during our risk’n’fun training sessions (Level 1) in Saalbach-Hinterglemm and at Die Tauplitz. Over four days, we’ll get stuck into the theory and practice of the backcountry.

Your Mountain Setup

Together with our mountain guides, we’ll analyse the situation in the backcountry. Our mantra

Perceive – Evaluate – Decide.

Grab one of the last spots for this season. The current weather is handing us the perfect training ground to gain real-world experience.

ECO-SHRED: YOUR LAST-MILE IS ON US!

Want to keep your ecological footprint small and arrive chilled by train? We love to see it.

To make sure you’re not hiking through the sticks with your board bag and all your gear, the Alpenverein Akademie is stepping up: If you travel by public transport, your "Last Mile" (from the train station to your accommodation and back) is completely covered!

Save your energy for the mountain and keep the peaks white.
