The Vans Implant has a hybrid closure system which offers you classic lacing with a Boa to lock your feet in just that little extra. Ideal for riders who like the feel of traditional lacing but also want to profit from the proven Boa technology.

Outer boot
A Reach Around cuff strap is attached to the inside shell of the boot and provides the opportunity to wrap it around either the internal liner or the exterior tongue. This allows you to easily customize the boots fit and response. The heat retention layer between the outsole and liner will keep warmth inside and cold outside of the boot. 

Response Liner
The Response Liner consists of a dual-density, heat-moldable core, and an asymmetrical X - Cage, which harmonizes with the bone and ligament structure in the foot to ensure an anatomical and supportive fit. This probably gives you the best heel hold you can imagine! The Dri- Lex® anti-moisture coating, a closed seam micro suede cuff, and tongue, as well as the Comfort Flex Toe Box, will make it comfortable in all weather conditions. The V2 footbed offers a 3D-molded anatomical shape that features a dual-density Ultracush construction with forefoot and heel impact absorption. Additional Airflow perforations ensure air circulation inside the Liner.

Waffleflex™ Outsole
The combination of an UltraCush™ Lite midsole surrounded by aggressive perimeter lug patterns results in an extremely lightweight sole with enhanced grip and snow-releasing properties. Metatarsal flex grooves in the midfoot region provide additional flex and a better feel for the board.

Lacing
The Hybrid Boa® system will give you the trusted feel of traditional laces with double-posted gripping lace hooks to lock your laces in, while the Boa® is focused on the critical instep area of the boot and will allow you to lace your boot tighter than with traditional laces. A Custom Slide guide that focusses on concentrated closure at the instep provides superior heel hold. The advantage over other lacing systems is its micro- and on the fly adjustment, combined with a fast system. Furthermore, a Boa system does not stretch, so you will experience a constant fit independent of moisture or warmth. An Internal Wrap Harness will keep your liner tight around the feet for a locked feel, whilst spreading pressure evenly.
