Maximum damping, maximum ride comfort

The Strata has quickly become one of Union's most popular freestyle bindings and the reason for this is its excellent dampening system. Fused Vaporlite damping gives you a ride like you've never experienced before. The high vibration damping makes the binding ideal for creative freestyle riding, whether in the park, powder or on the slopes.

Instead of the normal Strata highback, this version comes with the Union Team highback. The Team Highback is a favourite of Union Pros like Torstein Horgmo and Gigi Rüf and is Union's most popular freestyle highback shape.

Highback
The Team Highback with medium to hard flex, comes with a super light, freestyle oriented design. Duraflex material is specially designed to provide consistent flex over a wide temperature range. The angle of the highback (forward lean) can be adjusted without tools.

Baseplate
The Stage 6 Duraflex ST base is Union's lightest and strongest base to date and is extremely responsive. The Fused Vaporlite Bushing System absorbs vibration and shock like nothing else. Fused Vaporlite is a material that is waterproof, more durable and more precise than any other EVA material on the market.

Straps
The Forma Lab ankle straps fit perfectly to the outside of your boots, are incredibly durable and light as a feather. The HexGrip toe straps' thermoplastic anti-slip material and multiple positioning options keep your boots bombproof and secure in the binding.

Very good

I was looking for a do-it-all binding that never let's me down.
My boots are size 10.5 US and I got the Union Strata in L - perfect fit, M is definitely too small.

I'm currently taking the Strata for all kinds of riding, no matter the conditions or the terrain. I am mainly riding in powder or on groomers, pretty much never in park.
The Union Strata is a very versatile binding. IMO it's stiff and responsive enough to lay down big carves or take it into deep pow and soft enough to play around on the mountain.
Also the straps are sooo comfortable. Let's me ride all day, every day.

The only small downside is that you can't change the forward lean toolless, but do you really need that?

From my point of view the Strata is one of the best bindings if you are looking for one that ticks all the boxes, especially at that price point.

Im blown away how quick the delivery was. I live in a pretty small skiresort in norway, far away up on a mountain. I had the bindings less then 24h after i did the order.
