The All-Mountain Legend

Designed, tested and appreciated by the best snowboarders in the world. The performance-oriented Atlas is extremely durable, packed with the best features and easily handles any snowboarding style. It comes with Union's strongest baseplate, combined with a stiff Duraflex CB highback and reactive ankle straps.

Highback
The Atlas Duraflex CB Highback is stiff, lightweight and comes with a clean design for a seamless connection between boot and binding. The asymmetrical design gives you enough lateral freedom for tweaks, while the binding still responds perfectly. The angle of the highback (forward lean) can be adjusted without tools.

Baseplate
The Stage 7 Atlas Baseplate is the most stable base from Union. Extremely responsive Duraflex CB nylon is the key ingredient in this indestructible design. High-Density Vaporlite cushioning is stiffer and more responsive than Union's traditional Vaporlite, but with the same cushioning characteristics. The footbed has a special Non-Stick™ coating. This prevents ice from forming on the footbed and highback.

Straps
The ExoFrame 3.0 ankle straps are the ultimate connection between boot and binding. The progressive flex allows for quick response and power transfer for demanding riding at high speeds. The thermoplastic anti-slip material of the wide TS-2.0 toe straps keep your boots bombproof and secure in the binding. The Magnesium 3.0 buckles are made of magnesium and aluminum. A good combination of light weight and stability.

Tested these bindings in the Austrian alps.I was always a big fan of Union bindings generally all of the models work really well for my needs but that exact one is better than ever. ExoFrame 3.0 ankle straps makes it perfect and easy to use the biggest benefit of those is the stiffness of the lightweight high back gives the much needed response .a great all mountain binding lightweight and solid for the higher demands of all mountain riding!

An overall great experience riding these beauties lightweight and supportive it's probably the best all mountain binding ever owned performs great without problems etc great feature is the base High-Density Vaporlite cushioning for the bumpy rides and the Non-Stick™ coating on the footbed which never gets snow stuck on your binding .

I was looking for a stiff snowboard binding to match my freeride snowboard. I prefer to ride freeride and like to carve on the slopes. I mostly ride fast, so I need a binding to depend on on those high speed turns. I bought a size large to fit my 45 EU snowboard boots, after adjusting some straps the binding fit me perfectly.

I tested the product on the slopes while carving and in deep powder conditions. A nice feature is that you can turn the highback to align with your heel edge, I did this on the front binding and it made a huge difference. This meant I could lean in even more on the front foot while carving and it made riding even more controlled on big speeds. The straps are very comfortable and with the use of rubber really stick on your boots without any trouble, you can also adjust them without tools and the new Atlas bindings solved this very well with an adjuster that almost looks like a screwdriver and is integrated into every strap. I tested the bindings also in powder and they held up without a problem, if your boots are also stiff they complement each other very good, this means you get an instant reaction on your turns. All-in-all this gives you a stable and controlled ride all over the mountain, whether you like carving, pow-slashes or jumps.

In conclusion I am happy with my binding because it works in every situation and it supports my way of riding all over the mountain without me worrying about it. I would recommend the Atlas to a more advanced rider looking for a stiffer binding.
