In response to constant requests, Deeluxe teamed up with Japan’s Weekly of Weird Crew once more to create a freestyle boot that embodies the crew’s fresh perspective and thirst for something different. This special edition of the ID keeps things weird.
Outer Boot
The Backbone is a reinforcement on the back of the boot, which ensures durability, stability and regulates the flex. Available as an accessory, the TPS Shield strengthens a boot’s tongue, providing a stiffer flex and additional support. The Skate Flex Outsole provides a precise board feel in the forefoot area and soft cushioning in the heel. Thermoblock is an insulating aluminium layer in the outer shell and guarantees warm feet. Sidekick uses two reinforcing elements—one lateral and one medial—to maximize the transmission of power. This allows you to transition from edge-to-edge faster and provides a snappier ride, giving you better pop when ollieing. And by offering additional security, it reduces the likelihood of rolling your ankle. Pro Flex is designed for freestylers who demand premium performance. This construction creates a defined flex zone in the boot’s joint area. This eliminates bulging and maximizes support, creating the perfect blend of flex and stability.
Liner
Performance Flex liners are the perfect choice for riders looking for out-of-the-box comfort that lasts. These liners feature foam that is soft yet supportive, making them especially comfortable and dependable. And instead of offering security only at the shin, Performance Flex liners provide extra support in the ankle area thanks to their external heel harness.
Lacing System
The L2 lacing system not only provides a quick and easy way to secure your boots, it also helps you precisely adjust two separate lacing zones—the foot and the calf. One handle and clasp close the upper part of the boot while another handle and clasp close the lower part. A pull on each handle secures your foot, allowing you to powerfully and precisely transfer energy to your board.
