Shape
The nose of the directional shape is slightly longer than the tail, the sidecut and flex are moved to the back as well as the inserts. This gives the board more manoeuvrability, stability and flotation. The directional freeride shape of the Smoothie was perfected by Robin Van Gyn. The Smoothie is tapered – it narrows towards the tail- which makes the board even floatier.

Profile
The C2 profile is a perfect rocker/camber hybrid with a rocker between your feet combined with a camber out to the contact points on tip and tail. Control, precision and float are guaranteed. The Magne-Traction gives great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. 7 strategically located edge serrations provide hold and control in all conditions.

Construction
The heart of it all is a Full Hearted Core - energy (pop), light and lively. The Silky Smooth Bio Fibres are lighter than fiberglass. This renewable organic fiber has inherent vibration dampening properties and improved elasticity compared to other fibers commonly used in snowboards. The 'Ultra High Molecular Weight' exterior UHMW sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof and lightweight sidewalls. Finally, the Eco Sublimated top sheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
