A team favourite
It's fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! That's the easiest way to describe the Hyper Kyarve. On this directional board, the whole mountain is yours and you will see your favourite runs in a new light. Carving down the slopes and slashing pow turns has never been that much fun!
Riding Style
The Hyper Kyarve is for intermediate and advanced riders whose playground is the whole mountain.
Shape
The nose of the directional all mountain shape is slightly longer than the tail, the sidecut and flex are moved to the back as well as the inserts. This gives the board more manoeuvrability, stability and flotation.
This board features Magne-Traction® Serrated Edges, which deliver unreal edge hold and turn ice into powder. The serrated Steak Knife Technology consists of 7 strategically located and sized edge serrations that provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions: entry serration, mild serration and deepest serrations between the feet.
Profile
C2x means rocker between your feet combined with camber out to tip and tail. Kills everything! Aggressive perfection in turning, jibbing and unreal float in pow combined with a tip to tail control, power, and the pop of a camber
Flex
The firm flex of the Hyper Kyarve makes it perfect for slopes and pow.
Construction
On Mt Weird, GNU continually tests new technology and materials to improve their board design and to create snowboards which are environmentally minded, stronger, lighter and durable. The B-Pro is built with Unreal G2 Construction. The Core is made with Aspen and Paulownia which is balanced lighter, sustainable, FCS certified, strong & poppy. The Tri-ax/Bi-Ax Fibreglass is durable, light and poppy. The topsheet of the Hyper Kyarve is made from Eco Sublimated Bio Beans - robust and environmentally friendly! The Sintered Knife Cut Base is tough, fast and holds wax well, while the UHMW Sidewalls are environmentally friendly.
Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

About Gnu
Gnu have been around since the birth of snowboarding, claiming weird, open minded experimentation to be their job. They have worked with mysterious materials, bizarre geometries, contours and board shapes, far out art and colors, odd terrain and freakish riders to create fantastic progressive snowboards that have helped take snowboarding to wild and magical places. A brand we are happy to call one of the family.
