New winter home base for skateboarding and BMX

Where the X Games used to take place and ice skaters used to do their laps, wheels are finally rolling again instead of blades:

On 10 October, a temporary mini ramp area opened in the former ice rink in Munich's Olympic Park – perfect for all skaters and BMXers who don't want to stand still in winter.

In addition to the well-known CASA Street Spot, Munich finally has a home for those who prefer transition to flatground. For just €2.50 per session, you can let off steam – and on top of that, there's a workshop programme for every level:

From kids' beginner courses to adult sessions to girls-only events with the Girls Rule Project, which creates safe spaces for women and girls in the scene.

‘We want to offer a place that is low-barrier, inclusive, and affordable – to promote skate and BMX culture in Munich in a sustainable way.’

Throughout the winter, there will also be events, contests, jams, and community sessions – everything to keep riders' hearts warm. Expect good vibes, sick tricks and strong community energy.
