The Super 7 is the biggest and meanest of the soft snow focussed 7-series from Rossignol. Designed for the deepest days and the biggest of mountains the Super 7 is equally as at home one the podiums of The Freeride World Tour as it in the forests of Hokkaido in Japan. The HD update to the ski and the redesigned Air Tip 2.0 adds more quality to an already award-winning platform.
This is a powder ski, with a wide waist, however, the camber underfoot and friendly weight means that it is capable on the piste and makes a good ski for short ski tours to untracked terrain.
The 116 mm waist in combination with the tapered tips and tails means the ski floats brilliantly but also initiates turn quickly and intuitively.
The 7 series from Rossignol use their Powder Turn Rocker, rocker in the tip and tail of the ski with camber underfoot. In all of their 7 series this rocker is used for grip underfoot and floatation in the tips.
The old 7-Series were multi award-winning skis and the HD upgrades just cement their status as brilliant all-mountain powder skis. The patented Air Tip 2.0 and tails reduce weight without sacrificing torsional rigidity. They also bring the swingweight much closer to the centre of the ski, making it feel much shorter. The Light Wood core (paulownia), is 30 % lighter for ease of handling and relief to your legs. The HD update of the series comes from the Carbon Alloy Matrix, which combines the responsiveness of carbon with the stability, control, grip and power of basalt.
