Built for riders who spend as much time on the mountain as possible no matter the conditions, the Rome Heist is pure snowboarding fun. MtnPop Rocker 2.0 brings the smooth turn engagement of rocker and the snap and stability of positive camber for all-mountain mastery. Dawn till dusk, the Heist is on the hill having a helluva time.
All-Mountain Freestyle - You want to have fun on the whole mountain? This board does everything with ease, from kickers and rails in the park to side hits on the piste or powder runs and fast turns.
This True Twin board is symmetrical from the middle. With its balanced feel and equality toward switch riding, this shape helps drive the personality of Rome's park boards and the more jump-oriented all-mountain freestyle boards.
The Heist has the MntPop Rocker 2.0 profile, which consists of three zones of camber: a moderate amount of rocker between the feet and positive camber in the nose and tail. The camber area makes this design highly responsive for ripping carves and slashing powerfully, while the rocker area delivers better float in powder and it changes direction easily at slower speeds. The result is a highly versatile all-mountain feel that is both powerful and playful.
To give both response and playfulness to their rocker boards, Rome created QuickRip Sidecut to balance the inherently looser feel that rocker provides. You still get the butteriness of rocker, but you also get added power and response when you want it. They integrated two offset sidecuts that create one sidecut zone in the nose, one between the feet and one in the tail. The radius of the zones in the nose and tail are the same radius. Rome didn't blend where these radii meet but rather deliberately created "bumps" called Mid-Board Contact Points. These serve as the end of the running length at slow speeds - this allows the rocker boards to ride between these points at slow speed for smooth maneuverability. At higher speeds when you are using the full running length, these Mid-Board Contact Points are "bumps" that add edge grip and power.
The flex of 7 is just right for advanced freestyle riding. High speed for hitting kickers with highspeed without losing the playful feeling for presses and butters.
The Pop Core Matrix has dual zones of lighter wood that converge with a body of snappy, responsive poplar for a buttery yet high-powered flex. Straightbiax Carbon is the laminate more freestyle riders trust for ollie power and press friendly riding. 90-degree fibers provide a medium flexing feel that is beefed up with added carbon fiber to stomp more tricks and ride harder. Bamboo Single Barrel HotRods are a centerline rod of bamboo for nature’s gift of snap and responsiveness. The SinterTrue Base is the workhorse of base materials: this durable and absorbent base is the first level of speed generating technology. It provides a healthy dose of speed for bombing groomers, lapping park or beating your friends to your favorite stash.

Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
