ALPINE stands for a super-wide range of uses. For multi-day alpine tours with lots of luggage, the TRAVERSE 38 S is your companion. The back system, the ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and the hip strap provide reinforcement to optimally balance out heavy loads. With an additional bottom compartment, an adjustable front pocket and an extra map compartment, the TRAVERSE 38 S is ready for long mountain tours. The TRAVERSE 38 S comes with the COMFORT CONTACT BACK SYSTEM, which has breathable contact pads for continuous AIR CIRCULATION, ensuring pleasant wear comfort.
Hydration system compatibility, crampon and ski fastening options, a hip pocket and a rain cover all come as standard on the TRAVERSE backpack. The TRAVERSE 38 S can be opened up completely using the circumferential front zipper, providing a good overview of the equipment inside.
In addition to the large compartments, this backpack has further little compartments which ensure order. With all its features, the TRAVERSE 38S is perfect for multi-day tours.
Thanks to a PU-coating, the material is water-resistant, and Nylon 210 D Duramax® Ripstop adds extra durability.
The “S” in the name stands for SHORT, so it has been adapted especially for mountaineers with a short back. The back system of this backpack is significantly shorter.
Ortovox came to life with the invention of the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. With their passion for keeping skiers and snowboarders safe, Ortovox has grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
