Ortovox designed the Merino Comp range for peak athletic performances. To provide the best possible support for the body, there are different material thicknesses for individual body zones. The base consists of thin, 190 g merino. Breathable net inserts are used at the heat spots and 240 g merino for sensitive zones. The uniqueness of the product was confirmed by receiving the SkiAward at the ISPO and the counterpart, the Outdoor Industry Award at the Outdoor Retailer show, as well as by countless other top test ratings.
The product for all spring tours or as base layer in midwinter. The low proportion of polyamide (nylon) does not disrupt the best merino function, but grants a much softer feel and even more freedom of movement. The SHORT SLEEVE is tailored to enhance the figure in order to exact maximum function from the material. The entire upper body is made without seams in the so-called circular knitting process and only the arms are sewn - with no noticeable flat seams.
Material: 80 % Virgin wool (Merino) + 17 % Polyamide + 3 % elastane
Ortovox came to life with the invention of the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. With their passion for keeping skiers and snowboarders safe, Ortovox has grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
