With a ski from Eric Pollard you know that it is going to rule the powder, however, the mission for the pro skier and master ski shaper has been to make a ski comfortable around the whole mountain. With the Mordecai, Line and Eric Pollard have achieved exactly that. The ski while obviously great in powder rips all around the mountain and manages to bring fun to every facet of riding.
With the 114 mm waist, the Mordecai is very accomplished in softer snow, the surprising thing is how good the ski is away from softer snow, lively and quick. If you haven't already, google Eric Pollard or Nimbus Independent (his film company), and you can see how he rides this ski forwards or backwards everywhere.
The Mordecai utilises Line's clever 5cut shape, where five different radii shapes are blended into the ski's sidecut. This technology cleverly allows the skis to make different turn shapes, long, medium and short turns are all super easy. With this shape the ski as comfortable blasting long all mountain carves as it is turning on steep spine walls or landing switch in neck deep powder. The 114 mm waist is most at home in deeper snow delivering superior float. However, this width combined with the early taper in the rockered tips and tails means you get control in the deepest snow and hardpack where the effective edge is shortened.
The Mordecai has a strong early rise in the tip and the tail, this allows for greater flotation and a most balanced stance in powder snow. Additionally, with the early taper, you get a longer effective edge when riding powder snow.
Despite not being a true symmetrical shape the Mordecai has a truly symmetrical flex pattern. Switch pow riding and landings are predictable and dependable, plus as the flex is even throughout ollies and popping are also super predictable.
Partly Cloudy Core is a blend of lightweight woods offering the very best strength to weight ration for a powder ski. The sintered base is super fast, and the full vertical sidewalls give the ski great grip on steeper terrain or hardpack.

#morefunner - do we need to say more? Line took the freeski market by storm as early as 1995, picking up on the desire among skiers to simply have more fun. They saw the need for twin tip skis, and set about making it a reality. They have been on top of their game since day one and it comes as no surprise that they are backed up by one of the most star-spangled freeride and freestyle teams on the market.
