Mike Olson’s daily driver. An “enhanced” Banana Tech contour combined with a deep sidecut and light, lively Firepower construction make this a magical ride. Incredible edge grip and carving on ice and hardpack, unreal float in powder, effortless jibbing and smooth stability at speed.
The Banana Magic is a freestyle board that can perform everywhere. Whether you are beginner or expert, this board will make sure that you’ll have fun.
This snowboard comes in a Twin Freestyle shape. Tip and tail are of equal length and width combined with a centred radial sidecut. The snowboard rides equally well in both directions with a focus on freestyle. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
The C2 profile means rocker between your feet with a strongly pronounced camber towards the contact points on tip and tail. Precise perfection in turning, jibbing and unreal float in pow combined with a tip to tail control, power, and pop of camber.
The medium flex of the Banana Magic makes it suited for everything. Rip pow, press your way through jibs, spin your body in weird ways and carve up everything from slush to ice.
The 'Firepower Construction' FP features a lower spin weight tip and tail, combined with an extended core, thinner tip tail profile, carbon stiffening, and Balsa Tech from Lib Techs high-end board the Cygnus X1. The core consists of a strong Aspen spine with Columbian Gold on either side for a crisp pop and Paulownia on the toe and heel edges for the smoothest riding core with reduced weight and vibration. Additional Balsa wood reduces the weight even more. Organic volcanic basalt fibres surround the Woodcore and offer a lively and poppy ride. The flex modulus is synchronised with the resin system for maximum strength and minimum weight. The sintered Base is compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. Slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions. Birch Internal Sidewalls are placed along the sidewall of your board to add board control to the sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewall. Tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! Due to the edges, which do not go throughout at tip and tail, these areas are protected by a 'UHMW Tip/Tail impact deflection' system to avoid damage. Finally, the Bio Beans Topsheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
This board is also available in 'Wide' version. These are wider than normal boards and developed especially for snowboarders with large feet (EU size 44+) to avoid too much overhang of the boots. Wider boards also give you better float in powder.
